I have two cats- Polo and Cristiano. They are six and half years old and needless to say, they are the sweetest cats in the world! People usually say cats are cold and insensitive but no, my cats are extremely expressive and caring too. Can you imagine my cats run to the door when they hear me getting out of the lift on my floor! They wait for me at the doorstep whenever I am about to enter my house.
Polo and Cristiano are very different from each other. Cristiano i would say is a human soul trapped in a cat’s body..he is that caring. He has been with me, always ready to comfort me in every situation of my life since the time he has been around. He sleeps beside me and is very vocal about his moods always. He is a football player in the cat world and you can see this in the many videos adjoining this write-up.
Polo is the darling of the house. When he had come home for the first time from the adoption centre, he was extremely aggressive and difficult to handle. The number of times he has scratched me is unimaginable. You can say I had to bear all his “I will not like you till eternity” stance to finally get through to his heart..and well did I get through to his heart..?well yes I did with time..and now he is just waiting to be pampered and he melts and purrs and nudges his head all over me once I am with him.
Cristiano likes fish and polo likes meat and the differences just start there but they just love each other like anything..they play around the house all night and sleep all evening. I had heard cats sleep almost 16 hours a day but my cats just sleep in the evening and that too for two or three hours..I have never seen them fully asleep with their eyes closed! They are like self-appointed security guards who are very committed to keeping the house safe.
My cats have been with me for 6 and half years but to be honest, I don’t remember the time spent before them. Every fond memory of mine has them by my side always. I am very very emotional about them and I would like to believe that they are too..about me. They make my house a home. The way they close their eyes or slow blink when I pat them is just so adorable. Wherever I am I love coming back home to them as I know they would be waiting for me!
My cats eat almost all day long.. whenever they are hungry or sometimes even when they are not hungry. Apart from boiled chicken breast, I give them sheba skipjack and salmon, whiskas dry mackerel or ocean fish or tuna, temptation treats and sheba tuna in fillet 85 g cans. I could finally narrow down to this menu after alot of permutation and combination over the years. I get all my cat food from petsyonline and I get their cat litter ( scented lavender) from Amazon.

Cristiano is dark grey and white, a little fluffy with beautiful eyes and Polo is an athletic ginger cat. Both are very handsome males! Cristiano had warmed upto me the day he came but Polo as I mentioned, took a long time to accept me. They were just one month and two months old when they came home from the adoption centre. I remember I could carry both of them on the palm of either of my hands and now if you see them..they are all grown up physically. Cristiano is still a baby I feel as he loves to be pampered like a baby. He is a little clumsy as he eats super fast and then vomits, wants to be carried always, cries if he is not given attention for a long time and scratches the door and calls me if he wants to come into my room even at 3 am in the night.My cats have been with me for 6 and half years but to be honest, I don’t remember the time spent before them. He thinks he is an athlete and ends up taking long jumps but we have seen him miscalculate each time and falling down on the floor from all possible heights! Polo on the other hand is mature and very disciplined. You will be surprised but he does have a routine which he follows to the T. He wakes up in the morning, has his boiled chicken( reminds us by howling that his chicken needs to be boiled fast), then takes his sun bath, cleans himself, calls me to comb him, sleeps again in a different place ofcourse, wakes up, eats, walks around, attends to Cristiano and me, spends time by gazing at Kayan and Aman, eats and then grooms himself again and then again the routine is repeated.
