To be loved by a dog is special but consider yourself extremely lucky if your cat loves you! Firstly, cats don’t love anyone that easily. You may think they just want food and then probably to be left alone but they are capable of loving their humans deeply. In fact most of the people find cats cold because they themselves are shallow in terms of understanding what true emotions look like. They find cats difficult as they are not capable of winning the cat’s heart. If you are loved by your cat then you definitely are a person who has depth and sensitivity in abundance.
Well, I have two cats and I must tell you I feel extremely loved by both of them. They have their ways of communicating their feelings and you will be surprised how expressive they are!
Be it slow blinks, tails nudging against my body or just randomly falling at my feet… they do all this and much more all the time, every time.
I don’t have a fixed playtime with my cats but they feel confident to barge into whichever room they please at any time of the day and demand for playtime! They are very comfortable with me and my routine and this makes me happy from within. They let me touch them, even their belly and you can well imagine what that must be like because we all know cats don’t allow anyone to touch their most prized possession- their belly!
Three ways/three times my cats have made me feel so special are-
They just know when I am about to enter my house. Cats are known to be lazy and oblivious to everything around them. They wouldn’t really care if someone rang the doorbell or get up to welcome anyone but hey..my cats always know when it is me at the door! My dad has told me so many times that Cristiano has just stood up and walked around to the door as soon as I was about to ring the doorbell. He doesn’t do it for anyone else and that makes me feel so honoured!
People think cats just look cute and do their stuff to get food but I can vouch for the fact that they would choose me over food time and time again. I have been busy at times and tried to compensate for my lack of time by giving them food… but alas! They have rejected the food many times and come right back to me, making it very obvious that they are not ok with it.
Our favourite time is night time and you won’t believe my cats have a strict bed time and keep staring at me till I am in bed or at least preparing for bed time. They don’t enter the room and continue to wait till I finish all my work and this just melts my heart all the time. They make it clear that they won’t sleep till I am in bed and yes- they do sleep on my bed near my feet every single day. They may like all the members of my family but they always make me feel special and wanted. I am a part of their cat gang and we just chill out together whenever possible!
I just want to add that they are very patient and understanding as far as my work is concerned..they wait for me.They don’t feel insecure or concerned that my affection could shift elsewhere on another person or animal at all. I really feel nice about that and if you could just see the way they are always there for me by responding to their names whenever called, you would be surprised!
