The salwar kameez- A beautiful traditional attire that enhances the feminine appeal of a girl/ lady manifold. I feel proud to own some of the most beautiful salwar kameez sets that you could set your eyes on. Bright colors fascinate me and I have showcased six of the most gorgeous salwar kameez sets from my closet here. While wearing a salwar kameez I keep the jewellery minimal and emphasize on jhumkas and heavy earrings for creating the look as the salwar itself is colorful so why go in for a necklace if not required! Just a pair of colorful earrings and a bindi would be enough. Sharara sets and palazzos are now in and look great as well. Every color has its own shades so choose the color you want to make a statement in with care! You can dress up for a function, wedding or just an outing but if you want to create an impact, do so in style!
- The bottle green salwar kameez- As you can see, the net fabric has embroidery all over and a very beautiful cut at the centre. The salwar is more of a pant and the length is kept short. The outfit is visually stunning and is sure to fetch you compliments wherever you go.
- The turquoise blue and pink floral sharara- This is my favourite of all the six salwar kameez sets as I feel like a princess serenading the surrounding as I walk wearing the beautiful attire. It is stylish and classy and well fitted. The point of wearing this kind of sharara is to get the kurta well fitted otherwise the flowy sharara would be compromised. Earrings, matching bangles and a bindi complete my look and the pictures are here for you to see!
- The royal blue and pink tailor made salwar kameez- This was actually a saree to begin with. I had this colorful cotton saree in my wardrobe and thought of just converting it into a saree by using the design on the pallu at the right place! The salwar kameez turned out to be so beautiful and colorful that I couldn’t wait to wear it. For the dupatta I dyed a usual one in dual shade and the result is here for you to see! I bought these earrings from meesho as they were a perfect match( picture given).
- The wedding sharara- This dark turquoise sharara is the kind i would wear for a wedding. The spaghetti style kurta is well fitted and looks stunning over the natural flair of the sharara. I have worn a necklace, earrings and bangles to enhance the look. The sharara is from Myntra and the bangles are from meesho.
The main reason why these salwar kameez sets/ shararas look beautiful is the fact that they have either been stitched or altered to my size. A loud shout out to my tailor who just stitches or alters my outfits to perfection. His contact details are given below.

- The sindoori red salwar kameez- This was a saree initially and I had it stitched into the beautiful salwar kameez set as you can see. Since the pallu was beautiful I used it as the face of the kurta. The colorful red and yellow combination makes it stand out even in a crowd. Try this combination and see how it works out in pictures..my pictures are here!
- The old fashioned long kameez and sharara- I wanted to own this particular type of traditional sharara so I went and purchased it from the old Delhi market. I chose bottle green as I wanted to try the green and golden combination. The golden embroidery on the sleeves coupled with the design on the front make it a truly special piece for me. The attire has a “Punjabi kudi” feel to it isn’t it!
